Last night, my housemates and I decided to throw an early birthday garden party for one of our other housemates. Since she has an August birthday, she's never had a 'uni birthday' before, so we decided to give her one before we all moved out.
I couldn't be there for most of the preparations, as I had work all afternoon, but everyone else chipped in and did some fantastic work! They got the gazebo out, threw some fairy lights around, and cracked open the barbecues. We've had some gorgeous weather the last couple of weeks in the North East, and yesterday was no exception.
We had a lovely burger, pinata, and alcohol filled night! When it started to get a bit chilly later on, we lit some fires and then just sat around chatting. It wasn't as drunken or as silly as some of our parties, but it was definitely just as enjoyable.
It's been really nice to have lots of chill time over the past few days, since we've all worked so hard in the last few weeks for our final deadlines. We've not really had much chance to just sit and do nothing, without having to worry about getting up the next morning, or having to do sketchbook work or take photographs.
I'm loving the next stage in my life, I hope that it continues to be just as good!
